Linksys E3200 Port Forwarding

From WeatherCat Wiki (Mahler)

Port forwarding setup for WeatherCat client access from the Internet on Linksys (Cisco) E3200.

From the management screen, select 'Applications & Gaming', then 'Port Range Forwarding'.

Set the start port to 49250, the end port to 49254, Protocol to 'Both', the I.P. address to the I.P. address of the machine running WeatherCat, 'Enabled' to ticked.

Remember to save the settings!

(Although this is for an E3200, it should be similar on most current Linksys routers - corrections welcome!)

Notes:

  • You can find the I.P. address of the machine running WeatherCat by going to System Preferences->Network.
  • Be sure to set the I.P. address of the machine running WeatherCat to a fixed I.P. on your network. If set to dynamic (D.H.C.P.), there's a chance it can change in the future, which will break the port mapping.
